Selenium training Institute in Delhi
This is a platform for testing software for web applications. Selenium
provides a playback tool (previously also written) to develop tests without
having to learn the scripting language. It also provides a domain-specific test
language for writing tests in several programming languages, including C #,
Groovy, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby and Scale. Then the tests can work
against most modern web browsers. Selenium tests are implemented in Windows,
Linux and OS X. It is open source software published under the Apache 2.0
license: web developers can download and use it free of charge. Companies can
execute critical workloads or confidential applications over private selenium
through the use of public selenium tests or batch loads that must be escalated
on demand. Selenium

History of selenium
Selenium was designed by Jason Huggins in 2004 as a tool for Thought
Works. Later, they were associated with other coordinators and speakers at
Thought Works before Paul Hammant joined the team and led to the development of
the second system, which became "Selenium Remote Control". This year
the device was opened.
In 2005, Dan Fabulich and Nelson Sproul suggested placing a number of
plastic materials that would change the Selenium-RC to be known. At Selenium's
solo session, selenium management will continue to serve as a committee, and
Huggins and Hammant will be representatives of "Thoughts".
In 2007, Huggins joined Google. Along with other people, like Jennifer
Bevan, he continued to erect and suspend the RC Selenium. At the same time,
Simon Stewart at Thought Works has developed a free Driver Utility called Web
Driver. In 2009, following a business meeting by Google Test Automation
Conference, we decided to adapt both projects and the name Selenium Web Driver
to Selenium 2.0.
Components of
selenium testing
There are some components of selenium.
Selenium IDE
Selenium IDE (Integrated Development
Environment) is a complete integrated development environment (IDE) for Selenium tests. It is implemented as Firefox Add On and
allows you to record using software, editing and debugging tests. Previously it
was known as Selenium Recorder. It was originally created by Shinya Kasatani
and transferred to the Selenium project in 2006. It is little supported and is
compatible with Selenium RC, which was obsolete.
Selenium client API
The second element is selenium. By writing the Selenium test, it is also
possible to try different tests. These tests are related to selenium, calling
the Selenium Client API and the selenium test. Currently, Selenium provides
customers with API for Java, C #, Ruby, JavaScript, and Python.
Selenium Remote
Control
Selenium Remote Control (RC) is part of the selenium test. An author
wrote on Java, which acknowledges a command line for HTTP. Selenium Remote
Control allows you to write down an automatically-customized version of the app
on the Internet in any programming language that allows you to get Selenium
into existing clinics. In order to facilitate writing of the experiment, the
Selenium project currently provides consumers for PHP, Python, Ruby, .NET, Perl
and Java. Java drivers are also available for JavaScript. And the copy of the
Selenium RC server is required to send the html script authentication - meaning
that the port should be different from the beginning of a parallel.
Selenium Grid
This is the last thing that is connected with the components of
selenium. Selenium Grid is a server that allows you to test instances of a web
browser running on remote computers. With Selenium Grid, one server acts as a
hub. Tests communicate with the hub to access browser instances. The hub has a
list of servers that provide access to browser instances, and allows you to
test these instances. Thus, the Selenium Grid section allows you to run tests
on several computers in parallel and centrally manage different versions of the
browser and browser configurations.
Advantages
The first benefit is Selenium - a tool that helps build a single site.
The Selenium IDE software is plug-in for Firefox that allows testers to write
down the events of the technological process they need to test them. Selenium
Web Driver is the successor of the Selenium RC, which runs the live stream of
the browser and repeats the result.
Disadvantages
·
Supports only web based applications.
·
No IDE, so the script development won't be fast
·
Cannot access controls within the browser.
·
No default test report generation.
